The Tide of Time  Like the tide that flows Life's journey goes on and on it goes Each day we rise and face the sun Not knowing what the day has won We strive and struggle every day To make our dreams come true, come what may We laugh, we cry, we love, we hate We celebrate, we mourn, and contemplate The years fly by, time slips away And we realize that life is but a fleeting stay Our memories fade, and our bodies age But the spirit within us refuses to fade We look back on the path we've tread And realize that we've come so far ahead We've learned and grown, and loved and lost And realized the true meaning of living in this world, so full of strife And yet so full of beauty, and of life For the tide of time will never cease And we must learn to live in peace With the knowledge that life will go on And that we will all, someday, be gone.
